Earlier this year EYI teamed up with Teacher Training Australia (TTA), a national platform for Australian Teachers to access Professional Development Training face to face and online across many areas of development.
In this article Miles Campbell, TTA’s founder catches up with our Co-Founder and master educator, Marie Louise, to learn more about overcoming the stressors of our modern world.
Miles: Can you tell us a little bit about your education journey up to this point?
Marie: I’m a master educator and program developer at Evolve Yourself Institute and I’ve been practising in the field of human behaviour and self-mastery for over a decade. My focus and purpose were ignited by my mother’s battle with mental illness. This led to a lifetime of research into the function of brain, body and emotional patterns.
Miles: What are you passionate about when it comes to education?
Marie: I have a real passion for seeing individuals thrive. I enjoy helping them to develop strategies to use the greatest gifts of their mind, body and emotions, to create a life they are happy with.
My aim is to make education experiential and practical, giving teachers the ability to bring these tools alive in their own classrooms.
Miles: What would you like to achieve with your TTA course?
Marie: My goal is to enhance a teacher’s capacity to fill his or her own cup. This is the very foundation of being a great teacher. Bringing awareness to this allows the cup to overflow into those who are taught.
Miles: Do you have any favourite educational-focused inspirational quotes?
Marie: I have a few favourites.
“You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him find it within himself.” ― Galileo
“The calling of the teacher. There is no craft more privileged. To awaken in another human being powers, dreams beyond one’s own; to induce in others a love for that which one loves; to make of one’s inward present their future; that is a threefold adventure like no other.” ― George Steiner, Lessons of the Masters
Miles: If you could go back in time and re-do any part of your education journey, would you change anything?
Marie: Education has come to me through life lessons and processes. I was very intimidated by teachers and had fears of getting things wrong, doing wrong or failing. This most certainly paralysed my hunger to learn or show up. I would most certainly love to have lost my fears of failure or success earlier; they stifle innate curiosity and hunger to learn.
Miles: We love sharing information about great free online resources. Do you have any links to share?
Marie: I have two resources I’d love to share.
The first is an eBook. Mental health in society today is at tipping point because we have no idea how we work. It doesn’t matter if you’re a child, athlete, business owner, parent or just curious – you are human. Knowing how to use your human gifts gives you the best chance of living a life you love. This free eBook helps people discover all the gifts they were born with.

The second resource is a free, guided meditation. Meditation is a tool that can change your life. It is where you knock down the walls of a limited mind and gain access to your greater self. In the practice comes the experience and the experience speaks for itself.
